Welcome to another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES!
Today I had the chance to interview Lizzy Gomez, who is a graduate student at the University of Vermont in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program. Lizzy and I worked together at UC San Diego, and it was really great to catch up with her, hear about how grad school has been going, and to hear about how she is growing and learning about herself through the process. We talked about growing up, the tension of wanting to leave and feeling connected to a place where we grew up, identity, helping, empowering, and loving students. We also talked about reading, classes, creativity, crafting, alone time, energy, music, and navigating more tension.
