This month’s episode is a revisiting episode that I did with Jessica Williams. Be sure to check out the first interview I did with Jessica on episode 105.
This time, we talk about the things Jessica has been doing in a few new roles, defending her dissertation, graduating, and how all of those things and many more have impacted how she thinks about balance and how it shows up in her life.

This month we have the first part of an interview I did with Myra McPhee. We’ve been planning this for a while now, and it was great to finally sit down with Myra to talk about her experiences growing up in the Bahamas, going to college, leaving, and going back, high touch schools, getting into student affairs, leaving the field, and then returning again. This is a really great interview, and the second part next month will be just as awesome as well.

This month I had a chat with Sarah Molitoris, who is a graduate student at UCLA. We met each other at USD, where Sarah worked as a Community Director. We talked about growing up in Michigan, finding student affairs through forestry, and going back to school to round out the formal dimensions of learning about student affairs. We also talk about mindfulness, yoga, Meet Up (and my one very odd experience with it) and making friends outside of work among many other things.

This months episode is going to take a slightly different format. I didn’t have the chance to conduct an interview this month, so I decided that I was going to do my own check in about what has been going on in my life lately, as well as talking about my own work on balance. The second half of the podcast is the presentation I did at this year’s ACPA International Conference on Montreal, where I talked about creating a podcast.
