Hi there, and welcome to another Wednesday morning with another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES!
Today I had the chance to sit down with Kenyon Whitman, who is a Graduate Assistant with the Center for Awareness, Service, and Action at the University of San Diego. Kenyon and I are in the same PhD program, and it was really great to get the chance to sit down and talk about how he got to be where he is, and some of what has influenced his journey. We talked about family and the importance of staying connected, maintaining a relationship with mentors, and his experiences as a student athlete. We also talked about Kenyon’s love for salsa dancing, taking time for phone calls and skype with family, spoken word poetry, and the importance of knowing one’s self and the perspective that it provides.
