Hi Everyone, and welcome to another Wednesday morning with LIFE WORK BALANCES!
Today I sat down with Khristian Kemp-Delisser, who is the Retention and Assessment Coordinator for the ALANA Student Center at the University of Vermont. Khristian contacted me a few weeks ago about being interviewed for the podcast, and it was a ton of fun to get to have a conversation again with someone that I had never met before. We got to know each other pretty well, talked about dissertation topics and research, and also had a bit of fun. We talked about being a part of the Boy Scouts, getting involved in school, finding community, coming out, and the fun that can be had in the local library. We also talked about replacing fiction with research reading, remaining active in camping and outdoor activities, pet ownership, and exercising!

Hi everyone! Its Wednesday, and that means that its time for another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES!
This week I had a great conversation with Julie Larsen. Julie is an Academic Advisor at the University of Texas at Dallas, as well as a super fun person to follow on twitter and a maker of a great mix CD. We had a great conversation about roller derby (also check out Julie’s Roller Derby League), twitter as a connection tool, Julie’s work with Alumni Choose, New Kids on the Block, and what exactly goes in to the making of the perfect mix. You can connect with Julie on twitter @julieclarsen, or through her ABOUT ME profile. You can also check out Alumni Choose on twitter and on Facebook
