Today I had the chance to talk with Eugene Frier, who works in Residence Life at the University of North Texas. We met this year at San Diego Comic-Con, where Eugene was presenting as part of the Geek Ed Panel that also featured some past LIFE WORK BALANCES guests. We had a great time getting to know each other and catching up. We talked about growing up on a military base, immersing yourself in the environment around you, movies, finding and building a social circle, how we choose colleges, and maintaining those relationships. We also talked about board games, video games, gaming in general, comic con, geek week, movies, office culture, supportive mentors, and moving up in an organization!
