Welcome to another Wednesday morning with LIFE WORK BALANCES!
This week I sat down with Maura Cullen, who is an educational consultant focusing on diversity and social justice at colleges, universities, and businesses. Maura is also one of the founding faculty members of the Social Justice Training Institute with past guests Kathy Obear, Vernon Wall as well as Jamie Washington, and the author of the book 35 Dumb Things Well Intended People Say. We connected at ACPA, and it was great to chat with Maura about her work and her passions. We talked about designing board games, coming out, writing books, working through a PhD, moving into the consulting world, and founding SJTI. We also talked about staying fit, eating healthy, writing projects, the joys of doing nothing with a day off, and the importance of a supportive partner relationship.
