Hi everyone, and welcome to another episode of LIFE WORK BALANCES on this lovely Wednesday morning.
Today I had the chance to talk to Kathleen Kerr, who is the Director of Residence Life at the University of Delaware, and also the Vice President of ACPA. Since I am at ACPA’s national convention right now, it seemed appropriate that this would be todays episode! Kathleen and I talked about growing up in an academic family and being around college students, coming to a career in student affairs, balancing partner career paths with personal career paths, finding a supportive work environment in which to grow and develop, and how ACPA leadership experience can sometimes be of similar benefit to taking jobs all over the country. We also talked about the joys of cooking, never using the same receipt twice, sharing love over meals, family, children, and giving back to the profession in a meaningful way.
